Sabrina’s wedding in Umbria (and some tips on wedding organization in Italy!)

Hi, beautiful ladies!

In this article I would like to tell you about my client's Sabrina. She was born in the USA, but her mother is originally from Italy. She met her future husband in the US but he is from Rome, so what is better than getting married in Italy? It is so romantic, especially in Umbria with its medieval castles and towns.

Sabrina contacted me in September, as they were coming to look for the venues and in the meanwhile organised the prewedding photoshoot with great photographers Andrea & Federica (www.andreatappo.com). We organised the trial earlier on that day, so Sabrina had nice day make up and loose wavy half updo ready for the photoshoot in Rome.

I would recommend all the brides who are coming from abroad to get to know your photographer and your make up artist in this way, to have nice photos as a result. There are so many professionals nowadays online, but nothing is better than face-to-face contact!

So, then the guys went back to the States and we kept in touch with Sabrina.

They chose a very particular date for the wedding, 14 August: everyone who comes to Italy should know that 14-15 August in Italy is called Ferragosto holidays, when everybody leaves on vacation or stays outside the city, or with their family; that's why to find professionals available during those days you need to book them much in advance and sometimes the price of the service is higher.

The wedding was organised in beautiful and romantic Castello di Rosciano (www.castellodirosciano.com). It was an international wedding with the guests from all over the world. The day before there was a welcoming dinner and Sabrina decided to have another trial and have beautiful evening make up (we went for nice smokey eyes in earthy shades) and hair (we did loose Boho waves hair). She looked amazing in her long floral dress.

On the wedding day, the atmosphere was great and relaxing. The bride and the bridesmaids were having fun sipping some Prosecco. I brought my team make up artist and hairstylist to prepare the bridesmaids on the wedding day, so I did Sabrina's bridal hair and make up and her mother's hair and make up. It was wonderful working in this relaxing atmosphere and that's why the results were great!

You may see it on the great photos of Andrea & Federica (www.andreatappo.com).

Even if a bit worried at the beginning, my bride looked very beautiful in her stylish dress and her glowy bridal make up; hollywood wavy hair suited so much to it!

When you organise a wedding in Italy, especially in the middle of August, try to think about everything much in advance: choose a great wedding planner who will save you nerves and time, choose thoroughly all the professionals and make sure they work already a lot with couples from abroad, they speak great English and have really modern style!

Good luck for everybody who is going to get married in Italy and don’t hesitate to drop us a line if you need any information!

Kristina’s wedding in Taormina (Sicily)

Hi beauties!

Today I would like to tell you about a wonderful experience I had last summer, on August 2017.

I love my job not only because I love making women look beautiful, but also because it gives me the unique opportunity to travel everywhere, even in such places that no one ever heard about. Last summer I was planning the trip to Sicily with my friends as I heard so much about this wonderful land. Lots of couples go there to have their destination weddings. Why? Because of the amazing seaside, sun, greenery and archaeological sites.

At the same time I received the request from a beautiful couple that was going to get married in Taormina. So, part of my summer holidays route was decided: wonderful Taormina, a small town with lots of beauties to explore. A day before the wedding I met my bride Kristina to discuss her preferences in make up and hair to decide on her bridal look. She didn’t want a trial as she and her husband came from Siberia and didn’t want to lose even one hour of fantastic Sicilian sun and great weather. So we met directly on the wedding day.

Kristina is a very beautiful girl with blond hair, fair skin and blue eyes: seems like she is eighteen years old, as she looks very very young. She told me she almost doesn’t use make up, so I decided to do a very natural luminous bridal make up with a little bit of brown eyeliner and false single eyelashes, warm shades eyeshadows and a very natural peachy-nude lipstick by Mac.

Her hair is very beautiful and long, but she wanted a thicker result: so we used hair extensions and I created a side bridal hairstyle decorated with a beautiful hair accessory that Kristina brought with her.

They weather was great, not too hot, with a pleasant sea breeze; and the guys really enjoyed their wedding in Sicily!

Alysa’s wedding in Tivoli

Hello, beautiful women!

Today I would like to tell you about another my beautiful bride, Alysa. She, her husband and their wonderful baby came to Italy from faraway Canada to get married. They chose Villa d’Este in Tivoli as location, a 16th-century villa with beautiful sights and scenery, green pine trees and lots of sun in June.

Alysa didn't have time to do a trial, so we had an online consultation: she showed me her dress, her preferences in make up, and hairstyling and we discussed all the ideas!

As Alysa has very beautiful face features, she wanted something very radiant, fresh and natural for her make up, so my colleague make up artist Arianna on the day of the wedding did an amazing job: a fresh bridal make up in nude and neutral shades with a little accent on the lips and false single eyelashes.

As for the hairstyle Alysa has fantastic and very thick blond hair, it was very easy to work with it; she preferred a beautiful bridal hairstyle, a messy bun, which is a beautiful and practical solution for the summer, especially when you have a small child to hold all the time. Alysa had a very old hair accessory from her grandmother so we used it to decorate her hairstyle.

All the photos of the wedding were made by an amazing Irish photographer, Siobhan Hegarty (visit her website→). It was great to work with Siobhan and Alysa: hope you enjoy the photos!

Esin & Mehmet’s wedding

This amazing couple from Turkey got married in Rome in November 2017. It was a wonderful sunny day, very warm and colourful! Zeynep, a very pleasant and professional wedding planner (Romadaevlen) was in charge of organising the wedding of Esin and Mehmet.

The bride didn’t have time for the test, so we had an online beauty consultation. For her wonderful designer's dress from laces she wanted a very fresh bridal make up with a good uniform and dewy skin, neutral warm eyeshadows, well-defined eyebrows, some false eyelashes which are never enough and berry colour lipstick on her lips that suited perfectly her skin shade.

It was simply a pleasure to do make up on such a beautiful face, with great smile and big expressive eyes! As a hair accessory she had a beautiful handmade tiara, so we left her long and dark hair in loose natural curls and waves. The bride had a lot of girlfriends and bridesmaids, all beautiful; for some of them my team did hair and make up service.

Esin and Mehmet decided to have their destination wedding in Rome as they are in love with this city. And it was a wonderful idea!

Laura's destination wedding in Tuscany

It’s no surprise that Italy is a great place to celebrate a destination wedding, especially in May when the weather is warm and sunny but still not hot and humid. And Tuscany with its hills, green fields, endless sky and cypresses is an ideal place for a wedding.

My beautiful bride Laura from Manchester together with her husband were dreaming of a wedding like this. For them it was a romantic escape from the rain and the grey sky, together with some of their friends and relatives.

We met one day before at their villa in Tuscany and did the trial. Laura wanted a very soft and natural updo and a very radiant and fresh bridal make up. For me it was easy to understand what she wanted as she had clear ideas what suited her best. So on the wedding day I came with my team to the villa to do Laura’s and Laura’s bridesmaids hair and make up.

As Laura's hair are thin I used hot rolls to give it a nice root volume and create a very soft effect. When the florist brought her flowers, he brought also some for the hair. They were amazing, all small and of different colours from pink, purple and violet. With blond hair they created a very beautiful contrast. For the make up I used a lot of highlighters for cheekbones, neck and shoulders from Huda Beauty highlighting palette, Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk foundation for a radiant and long-lasting look, a very think like of a dark brown gel eyeliner by Mac and surely single false eyelashes to make the eyes more expressive. For the lips I used long lasting lip paint by Huda Beauty and a lip balm by Mac on the top.

I hope you liked Laura's bridal hair and make up!

All photos were done by great photographer Paolo Ceritano→ who caught fantastic light of day and magic moments.
