Bridal Fashion Photo Shoot

A nice walk around Rome on Easter

Rome is a fantastic city and it attracts creative people with creative ideas. A famous Russian actress Anastasia Busygina wanted to surprise her best friend and as a birthday gift she organised a photoshoot in Rome with professional make up artist & hairstylist and photographer service.

It was a great and sunny Easter's day: Rome was half empty as italians went out of town, so our two young women really enjoyed the Eternal City. A bit before I came to their hotel in via Veneto my client explained to me what she likes and usually does for photoshoots: she loves smoky eyes, with lots of eyelashes, nude lips and radiant skin. Her dress, by Dolce and Gabbana, was very beautiful: black with dots, long and very stylish, so great smokey eyes make up suited the whole look perfectly. I used all products by Mac.

For the hairstyle she preferred a lot of volume up, very soft and almost natural waves. Anastasia also decided to follow the style, so I did on her smokey eyes make up but in a lighter variant: it looked very well with her dress.

The girls enjoyed a lot their Roman experience taking photos all around in their beautiful dresses!

Make up & hair for Fashion

As for what concerns weddings, preparing models for a photo shooting has its challenges: today I want to show you the make up and hair my staff and I made for a fashion shooting. In the backstage, the last touches of make up before the shoot are important because, if make up and hair are perfect, it makes easier afterwards for the photographer to spend less time in front of the computer. That's why a combined and accurate work of make up artist, hair stylist and stylist is very important: the final result always depends on the collaboration of everybody!

Wedding dresses and bridal fashion photo shoot in Rome

This is a backstage of bridal fashion shooting with our make up and hair: two amazing wedding dresses of Iana Spose Atelier and a great romantic location Villa Sanna, near Rome. The photos were taken by Aleksandr Shvets, photographer and videomaker.

Our model Arianna had a warm shades make up and a romantic side hairstyle with lots of curls for her beautiful long hair, with a fresh flowers decoration. For Jessica we chose brown eyeshadow, black eyeliner and coral matte lips. I completed her look with a sleek and elegant bridal hairstyle with a fresh white rose.

Creating a wedding hairstyle from a sketch for a bride in Rome

Working as make up artist and hairstylist has its challenges. Sometimes I have photo examples of what my client wants, sometimes we combine several things in one, sometimes we invent something. This time my example was a drawing made by Mauro Gala, who is a haute couture wedding dress designer in Rome.

The dress that my bride Anna chose was very elegant and sophisticated, and so was the hairstyle. Despite my experience in wedding hairstyling it wasn’t simple to do that, as there was a big bow tie made by Mauro as a hair accessory, that was inside the hairstyle. In this case, the trial is very important as we can try and see if the hairstyle works. In the end we saw the final result with my bride, wearing her wedding dress in Mauro’s atelier. It was fantastic, as it was his creation made by me in real life from his sketch. I felt a great satisfaction!

Bridal Fashion Shooting in Rome: backstage

Here you can see us doing make up and hairstyling during a fashion shooting for Christofle Jewelry Collection, in collaboration with the great Haute Couture Atelier Mauro Gala Wedding Dresses and Aleksandr Shvets, photographer and videomaker.
As Mauro Gala's dresses were very sophisticated and vintage, I created for our blond model Inna a hairstyle with vintage waves and a retro make up with light smokey eyes and red lipstick. For Chiara, in order to create a more romantic look, I did big curls for her long beautiful hair and a side hairstyle. For her make up I decided to do dark smokey eyes with eyeliner and neutral lips
